Distribution
The following steps are required to create the enterprise structure necessary to register distribution transactions:
- Create a shipping point
- Assign a shipping point to a plant
- Create a loading group
- Create a shipping condition
- Define default shipping points during sales processing
- Create a transportation planning point
For reference, the following enterprise structure has been defined for the Sandbox Tycoon® prototype model company Sir Juke that represents a ‘SCM Light with IM’ scope:
- Shipping points
- YA00: Sir Juke, London, United Kingdom
- YA01: Sir Juke, Glasgow, United Kingdom
- YA10: Sir Juke, Eindhoven, Netherlands
- Shipping point YA00 is assigned to plant YA00
Shipping point YA01 is assigned to plant YA01
Shipping point YA10 is assigned to plant YA10 - Shipping conditions
- 01: As soon as possible
- 09: Pick up
- Loading groups:
- 0002: Forklift
- 0003: Manual
- Shipping point YA00 will be the default for the plant YA00
Shipping point YA01 will be the default for the plant YA01
Shipping point YA10 will be the default for the plant YA10 - Transportation planning points
