Create a division
The division is a high level categorisation of the materials within your prototype system. Depending on the type of business, one or multiple divisions will be useful. For example, divisions can be used to meet management reporting and pricing requirements. The Sandbox Tycoon® prototype system for Sir Juke only uses one division that represents Media as the subdivision of media is done by using material groups and product hierarchies.
Use the following path in the implementation guide: IMG >> Enterprise Structure >> Definition >> Logistics – General >> Define, Copy, Delete, Check Division >> Define Division
When accessing the configuration transaction, the existing divisions are shown.
Select the menu path Edit >> New Entries to create a division.
Define your division and the associated description.
Press the ENTER key to allow the system to validate your data.
Press the SAVE button to save the data in a transport request.
You can now exit the configuration transaction.
