Create a transportation zone
The objective is to divide a country into transportation zones to support the calculation of transit times while transporting goods. These transportation zones are assigned when maintaining addresses for your business partners.
Use the following path in the implementation guide: IMG >> Sales and Distribution >> Basic Functions >> Routes >> Route Determination >> Define Transportation Zones
When accessing the configuration transaction, the screen shows the details for the available transportation zones per country.
The Sandbox Tycoon® model company Sir Juke operates in Great Britain, Ireland, the Benelux countries and Germany. Some of these countries are not large enough to split into various transportation zones because goods can be delivered within one working day. Only Great Britain and Germany have been divided into multiple transportation zones.
The following transportation zones have been created for Sir Juke:

Review whether the existing transportation zones are sufficient for your prototype. Select the menu path Edit >> New Entries when you want to create new transportation zones.
The following columns need to be maintained:
- Country code
- Transportation zone code
- Transportation zone description
Press the ENTER button to allow the SAP ECC system to validate the data.
Press the SAVE button to save the data in a transport request.
You can now exit the configuration transaction.
