Brown Layer
The brown layer describes the activities for the Sandbox Tycoon® prototype system that relate to the configuration required to prepare external financial reporting and to build your enterprise structure. You need to finalise these steps before focusing on the master data (green layer) and transactional data (blue layer).
You will learn that financial configuration is the backbone for any SAP implementation. Therefore the primary focus is on the configuration related to the chart of accounts as it will provide the framework of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement.
The next step is to define the enterprise structure for your model company from a finance, inventory management, planning, procurement and sales perspective.
