SAP ECC Configuration
This section of the wiki describes the minimim SAP ECC configuration required to implement the business requirements associated to the model companies within the Sandbox Tycoon® prototype. This section of the wiki is also referred to as the black book.
This black book contains the brown layer (configuration required to prepare external financial reporting and to build your enterprise structure), green layer (configuration required for maintaining your master data) and blue layer (configuration required for maintaining your transactional data).
There is a specific sequence with regard to system configuration. First perform the tasks listed in the brown layer, followed by the green layer and finally the blue layer.
It is advised to obtain a clean IDES system before you continue to build any of the model companies associated to the Sandbox Tycoon® prototype.
You will get instructions how to configure the SAP ECC system to allow the most basic integration between your finance, planning, inventory, procurement and sales departments. It is allow a smooth flow of information, goods and money between these departments and with external business partners.
You can then build your own company after finalising the instructions provided within this wiki. For example, when you want to use your own model company on Sir Juke, then follow the instructions associated to the Sir Juke model company. Then make a copy of Sir Juke to have a flying start when building your own model company. Then Sir Juke becomes a reference and fall back company after you have experimented with SAP ECC functionality that is out of scope from a Sir Juke perspective.
Please note that this book does NOT include instructions how to use the system as soon as you have finalised the suggested configuration. But you will be able to use all SAP standard functionality to execute the necessary business transactions.
